Garden City, New York is located 18 miles east of New York City in Nassau County, Long Island. The village is part of the New York metropolitan area and is bordered by the towns of Hempstead and North Hempstead. As a suburb of the Big Apple, Garden City offers all the attractions of a small community--with easy access to the business, entertainment, and resources of the largest city in the United States. In addition to easy access to New York, Garden City offers a thriving downtown of its own.
